Since 2018, Jennifer Maccarone has sat at the Québec National Assembly to carry the voice of Westmount—Saint-Louis citizens.
First elected in October of 2018, Ms. Maccarone first served as the Official Opposition critic for the rights of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, for families, and for people living with a disability or with autism, making her the first Official Opposition critic for people living with autism in Canada. She was also a member of the Committee on Culture and Education and the Committee on Citizen Relations.
Thanks to your trust and support, Ms. Maccarone is now in her second term as your MNA. This time, she is the Official Opposition critic for public security, for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and for the fight against racism, in addition to chairing the Committee on Transportation and the Environment.
In her political role, Ms. Maccarone continuously aims to bridge the gap between Westmount—Saint-Louis and the National Assembly. Above all, she is committed to ensuring that the needs of the community are met. There are pressing needs in the health, education, and housing sectors. Ms. Maccarone’s top priorities are to focus on a new elementary school, an adult education centre, and new social housing. Not to mention, she will continue her commitment to defending the rights and freedoms of each and every person. As a single parent to Sam and Bianca, two young autistic adults, Ms. Maccarone is dedicated to improving the services offered to people with autism and to raising public awareness regarding their realities in Québec.
